The midi is at best a difficult musical tool. In less than gifted hands, it can lead to aural disaster. Given this publication's strong interest in music, we spend a lot of time listening to midi files on the Internet. Often we have shared the good ones with you (see our Music Index page). Now the time has come to share the clunkers, the near-disasters, and the major catastrophes: 19 efforts to create musical magic on the Internet. We want to say, "Enjoy!" but that doesn't seem quite appropriate. Perhaps "Indulge your masochism!" would be more accurate. Here they are, from disco (sort of) to four verses of the Star-spangled Banner (sort of).
