Mr. and Mrs. Clatter have five children. Half of them are boys. How is this possible?

The other half are also boys.

There is a town where 5% of all the people living in the town have unlisted phone numbers. If you selected 100 names at random from the town's phone directory, on average, how many of these people selected would have unlisted phone numbers?

None.

A young knight wanted to marry a beautiful princess but her father, the King, wouldn't allow it. After much pestering, he finally agreed to allow the young knight to draw one of two slips of paper in the golden box. He told the young prince that one said "marriage" and the other "death". If he chose the one that said "marriage", he would be allowed to marry the beautiful princess. If he chose "death", the king would have him killed. That evening the princess warned the prince that both slips of paper said "death", yet the next day, the two were wed.

How did this happen?

After the clever prince drew his slip of paper out of the Golden box, he swallowed it and declared that because the remaining slip said "death" that his slip must have said "marriage."

Art Conn and Hardy Pyle wagered a bet on who could stay under water the longest without the aid of any breathing apparatus. Hardy jumped in the pool and managed to stay under for one minute. Art knew he could never beat Hardy's time using his method, but he won by staying under for two minutes using an old trick. What did Art do?

Art filled a cup with water and held it above us head for two minutes.
