There are those who call the
20th century, the American century. Well, maybe, maybe not. Still, there's no doubting the
global effect of American culture between 1900 and 1999.
Here's a little test to check the depth of
your knowledge of some key items of American culture. On the map above are various places
associated with significant people or events.
On the question page, you'll find 40 of those
people and events described. Your job: connect each question with a place on the map.
Probably the best way to do the test is to
print either the map or the questions (or both), and proceed. If you print the map, be
sure to set your printer for "landscape" orientation.
Many of the questions are fairly easy. A few
will be difficult even for Americans. And some may be just a bit tricky. Good luck!
