THINKABOUTIT
A true story: The principal of a middle school recently posted the names of all 900
students on cards around the walls of the gym. He gave the 100 staff members (half were
teachers) a supply of gold stars. He asked each staff member to put a star on the card of
a student whom they knew well enough to speak to by name if they saw them in the mall.
One- fourth of the students got most of the stars. One- fourth more had one or two stars.
The other half had none.

COMING SOON:

No IPO? No advertising? How do we do it? We sometimes wonder too. Quality
tells (or so we hope). For now, check our gift shop for Magellan's

Microsoft & the Texas
Railroad Commission
Joel Fluker rummages through the dustbin of capitalist history and turns
up a fascinating reminder of old, old monopolistic behavior.

Just when you thought you'd encountered every possible fetish,
here comes "petrophilia"
(the love of stones). This one is not weirdly sexual but quietly artistic.
Islands of Quality

Something to offend everyone? Piongo Pisgah's palette mixes race, sex, and religion. What more could
you ask? (The title by the way is pronounced "chin".)
